Our cookie policy: which cookies this site sets, why, and how you can manage them.
Cookies on this site
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember something between page loads. We use a short list of them, and none of them identify you by name. This page tells you what each one does and how to switch them off if you'd rather.
We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The ones we set fall into two groups: those that help the site work, and those that help us count visits.
Preference cookies
These remember choices you make so the site behaves the way you left it.
- a cookie that records whether you've dismissed the cookie notice, so it doesn't reappear on every page;
- a cookie that remembers your consent choice for analytics;
- where offered, a cookie that stores a display preference such as your chosen currency framing.
These are treated as strictly necessary or preference cookies and last from the end of your session up to about 12 months.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand which reviews get read and where pages fail. They record visits in aggregate, not individuals.
- a first-party analytics identifier that ties the pages of a single visit together;
- a value that tells us whether you're a first-time or returning reader.
We only set analytics cookies once you've agreed. Turn down the notice and they stay off.
Third-party cookies
When you click a link to a licensed casino, that operator may set its own cookies on its own site to attribute the referral. Those cookies are governed by the operator's policy, not ours. Content we load from a delivery network (images and scripts) is served without setting tracking cookies.
How to control cookies
You're always in charge. You can:
- use the choice in our cookie notice to accept or decline the non-essential ones;
- delete cookies already stored through your browser settings;
- block cookies for this site, or all sites, in your browser's privacy controls;
- browse in a private or incognito window, which clears cookies when you close it.
Blocking the strictly necessary cookies may mean parts of the site don't remember your choices, but you can still read every page. Every major browser publishes step-by-step instructions for managing cookies in its help pages.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, we'll update this list. For how the data collected through cookies is handled and the rights you have over it, read our Privacy Policy.
